Summary

From the bestselling author of Fairydale comes a dark tale about a killing machine who can’t feel anything and an innocent nun who feels too much.

Vlad Kuznetsov is a psychopath—a killing machine. Experimented on from a young age by a mad scientist, he cannot feel anything.

No pain. No remorse. No regret.

His violent episodes make him a danger to society, so he’s learned to live in the shadows.

Alone is safer. Alone means control.

Until her.

Assisi Lastra. The little nun with fire in her eyes. She should fear him—everyone else does. But instead, she stands toe-to-toe with the devil and dares him to feel.

She calms the chaos in his mind, quiets the voices that demand violence. For the first time, he craves something…more.

But his violent nature cannot be tamed. His darkness isn’t a wound to heal; it’s the essence of what and who he is. And no matter how much he craves her light, he knows one thing:

A monster like him can never love. It can only destroy.

This is an EXTREMELY DARK BOOK. Please check the triggers before reading. It is the first book in the Morally Ambiguous Duet. Parts of it were previously included in Morally Ambiguous.

PREFACE

Dear brave reader,

You must be truly courageous to open the pages of this book.

THIS BOOK IS DARK. And by that I mean, it’s super dark (but it’s also cute and romantic). There is gore, lots of gore, some questionable romantic cannibalism, obsessive love interests and VERY disturbing scenes.

This book isn’t your regular dark romance either. It has sci-fi and PNR influences and treads the line between contemporary and speculative fiction. So you must be able to suspend your disbelief at times. (Not when it comes to the love story, though, because who doesn’t want a sickeningly sweet love story like Vlad and Sisi’s?)

SO KIDS, DON’T TRY ANY OF THESE SCENARIOS AT HOME, ALL RIGHT?

This is your warning to turn back, or you will not be able to unread the things you read next. You will be grossed out. You will probably have nightmares. Not worth it if you ask me. So close the book and save yourself the trauma.

But if those warnings only made you more curious, then welcome to the dark side, friend.

Enjoy the mayhem!
